Igor Smirnov is a chess grandmaster who has developed many useful computer-based chess courses on various aspects of the game. This is his first book. What is striking about GM Smirnov's courses is the bluntly contrarian attitude and honesty that he brings to getting better at chess. He doesn't sugar coat anything - it turns out that getting better at chess is not helped by sugar coating. simple and effective book. It was a book about chess psychology. very little chess positions. If you change the word chess and put:- Fotboll, ice hocky etc it would be great advices too
